These are my most important resources in my work. While I try to stay up to date by by reading latest news and studies, it’s these websites I visit most often when I start research on a new topic as they not only provide initial information but also reference to useful studies.
Websites
- Dr Sears and The Zone Diet – The official Websites of Dr. Barry Sears and “Zone Diet” with lots of helpful resources, videos and articles.
- The Paleo Diet – The official Site of Dr. Loren Cordain’s “The Paleo Diet” with a massive FAQ on the topic.
- NutritionData – the most comprehensive nutrient content database I know of.
- cholesterol-and-health.com – More than you ever wanted to know about cholesterol. It still makes my head spin. If you really want to know everything about cholesterol and it’s role in biochemistry and health, visit this site.
Books
- Enter The Zone
– By Dr. Barry Sears. Highly instructive and easy to read.
- Good Calories, Bad Calories
– The book by Gary Taubes. Read it. If you do not like it or if you think that Mr. Taubes himself was biased when writing the book, I recommend you use his list of studies, read them all and draw your own conclusions.
Blogs
- Animal Pharm – Dr. B G’s “The lessons science and pharmacology teach us about the Track Your Plaque program”
- Nephropal – Dr. T’s “Nephrology from a Paleolithic Standpoint”
- The Heart Scan Blog – Dr. WilliamDavis
